The mark is usually when they, the alpha, bite the omega's nape and thats the mark between the two. When the omega turns to heat, only the one who marked the omega can calm its heat

I'd like to add that also the omega's pheromones can only affect the alpha who bit them and that in some omegaverse if the omega or both of the alpha and omega have sex with someone other than their parner they will experience rejection like vomiting, fever and stuff.

Yup, since every season has new couples. First ones were the ones with a kid, second one was the alpha chasing the omega doctor and now in third season we have totally new characters which don't have much relation to the previous couples.
I do have to say i was VERY angry, upset, confused, stressrd everything at first there was NO communication at all but im glad everything worked out in the end and they talked it out
