I'm already at the beginning of the 4th book, where the story is toled from when Xie Lian was first banished from heaven

It made me think for so long why Xie Lian/the crown prince was curse and banished from the heavenly realm many times when he is kind and so on.

And I would like to know too, if how San lang/Hua Cheng (the man in red with an eye patch) known Xie Lian and when did he fell in love with him?

I know im not the one u asked but eh uh-

>xie lian was banished because he basicaly wasnt able to fulfill his duties and harmed his own people by meddling with their problems (which is a somewhat kind of rule for their gods. meddling with mortal problems isn't a thing for them, and is probably taboo thing for a god to do. But since xie lian was litteraly just 17 when he acsended, he wasnt able to understand how brutual the reality is and how limited a god can do for their belivers, and along with his youthful confidence, what he deemed to be something that could help his people, only backlashed and ended up destroying Xianle with the war and human-face-disease (which wasn't realy xielian's fault, it was the white-clothed calamity that brought forth the pandemic and shit-fucked xianle in so many ways. U'll know the reason why. Ill just leave it like that.) And after that he was banished. And the curse shackles were from the banishment. Its a thing for banned gods. Hua cheng's servant, yin smthng, also has one, bcs he was a former god before but was banned bcs of attempting to kill a fellow god of the same region (actly i kinda forgot if that was right but anyway moving on)


And then huahua met xie lian when smone pushed the little child, litteraly falling from the sky, which in turn, was saved by xielian, and also ruined the procession that was being held that was suppose to be a good luck charm thingy for the crown prince and how many years would the kingdom last (which was 2? 3 or so rounds = only 3 years of prosperity. Kind of a foreshadowing of what to come.)

And ever since then huahua would devote to him, giving him flowers and all. (Im not good in explaing imsorry) and when the chaotic shit happend, shit happend. Hua cheng joined the soldiers when a war started. Died for his majesty. And became a soul that was never able to rest in peace.

Anyway, jumbled points of what happened in book 4 was:

= xielian being bitter and depressed with fengxin and his parents by his side in a shabby shack.
= xielia meeting ghost hua2
= xie lian meeting mu quing with 33 officials (after leaving his side. Tbh idk if the sequence is right lol) that was arguing with the spiritualy filled place that xie lian wants to get secluded in but o well
= xielian stealing
= xielian being found stealing by heavenly officials
= fengxin hooking up
= xie lian seeing parents hanging themselves (wait, was it bcs of illness??)
= xielian attempt suicide(?)
= xie lian meet white cloth calamity
= stabbed a thousand times
= with ghost hua2 in front of him (imagine the anguish hua2 felt when he saw hi dianxia getting stabbed?)
= xie lian trasform
= hua2 new body
= attempt murder/ murder
= hua2 sacrificed once again for his dianxia when human face disease was abt to take over again.
= xielian realizing how he still has one devoted believer, who was ready to follow him, even if means he has to kill for him or die for him
= kinda forgot what exactly happed
= ascend then 2nd banishment

I srsly forgot the right sequence and other detailed stuff that happened.


This is just me giving an excuse to just re-cap with the shit that happened, anway, hope it cleared stuff out. Pls correct me if there are some stuff i missed or got wrong. It has been a while since i read the novel ╮(￣▽￣)╭

I think it was the same time when xie lian attemps suicide? Or was it when his parents ended themselves? But yeah, ruoye was born from i-kind-of-forgot-what-kind-of-dark-energy-it-was (resenment? I think) sorry, anyway, yeah.

So rouye's not actly a spirit but like, a "demon" of sort that was born from negative energy. And since it was a realy shitty, and by shitty, i mean REALY SHITTY time for xielian. So yeah. Sorry HAHAHAHAH

It was the cloth used by his parents (when they hung themselves) I think?

Oh (⊙_⊙) Now, I somehow understand everything. Poor Xie Lian (╥﹏╥) he even attempted to kill himself. But anyway, I now realized how deep Hua Cheng's love for his Dianxia.

Now there's Wanji and there's Hua cheng, they both a perfect dream come true of a Male Lead for thier lover (ω*)

I kind of envy Wuxian and Xie Lian for having a men love them so much!

I know I am late and that fujoushi_beach already answered but here is my answer anyway:
Well first like she said Xie Lian was descending to the mortal realm to help his people out because he was so kind and all and that was kinda prohibited for gods
Which brought the face des ease upon his kingdom, the white no face guy told him that it was because of him so Xie Lian , the kind person he is was so guilty and tried to do the impossible to help all the people but he ended up banished and hated by his own people because he couldn’t help them and the end and with that the people burned down all his shrines and statutes and all, some statues were even used at the doors for people to step on just to humiliate him.
After that he fled the kingdom with his parents and fen xin and mu xin (the spelling is definitely wrong) and his dad was so ill, the medication was expensive thus they used all there saving and they were obligated to work at the streets for money , Mu Xin left them half way to ascended to heavens (and he kinda humiliated Xie Lian after his ascension that’s why hua cheng hates him more ) his parents saw that they were no good do they suicided (I think it was to make it easier for Xie Lian because they couldn’t work because everyone knew them) and the « tissue » they used to suicide is Royue

About Hua cheng/Xie Lian it all started when hua cheng was a kid he went to watch the god ceremony thing that Xie Lian was performing and while doing so he wore a mask, someone pushed the kid over the tall tower , he fell and Xie lian got him and lost his mask which was a sign of bad luck after that Xie lian’s cousin tried to kill/torture the kid Hua Cheng by pulling him at the end of a cart but XIe Lian saved him (Hua cheng got attached to him) after that Xie Lian ascended the heavens and Hua cheng became his most faithful believer, he brought white flowers and all and once on a rainy day he was so done with his life he went and said something like « I don’t know why I am living » and Xie lian answered him « if you don’t have a reason to live then make me your reason to live » and he left the red umbrella for him after that hua cheng joined the army fought for Xie Lian and died and after Xie Lian fled with his parents he found a guy selling lanterns with trapped souls so he brought all of them and let them free within them was Hua cheng’s soul ....(that’s getting long)

After that the soul tried to protect him and defend him against the white no face but it was only a weak soul. After some time Xie Liam passed by a phase where he “became” white no face and hua Cheng was his only follower (like a general or something) and Hua Cheng died for him again (not really since ghosts don’t die ) and then disappeared and came back as Hua Cheng we know (that’s all I can remember since it’s been so long)

Read 2Ha or husky and white cat shizun. Its 300+ chps long with extras. And has a realy interesting plot. I dnt know which one is more tragic (2ha or mxtx bois) but if not being able to clear a misunderstanding and has to go through 2 lifetimes just to save one another, then yeah, its tragic.

But like if u dun like age gap or student-teacher and is bothered by graphic scenes kind of theme then pls avoid it (￣∇￣")

Imagining what Xie Lian's life have been through, it's so painful. Seeing your parents kill themselves just for him to somehow have an easy life without a burden. o(╥﹏╥)o I still hate those other gods! Damn all of them, I hate how they humiliate (and so on) Xie Lian, he just want to help and from what other said, Xie Lian was just a young God (I thing they said he was 17 at that time when he became a god) I'm glad that all that time Hua Cheng was with him っ╥╯﹏╰╥c
