Am I the only one who feels disappointed by this character's development? His first appearance was so charming, his cheeky and playful demeanor made him instantly likable. Turning him into a villain feels like a loss. I understand that the disciples were bound to follow their own paths, but he was just a child when the MC took him in. Naturally, he would become attached to her, even dependent. While the MC may have seen their relationship as purely that of master and disciple, to a child, an adult who teaches and guides them is more than just a mentor, they become a parental figure. I can’t help but wish for a different dynamic. Imagine Oliver growing into a dependable older brother, the red-haired one constantly teasing their youngest, and Belinda stepping in as the responsible big sister. That kind of sibling-like camaraderie would have added so much depth. I understand why the MC feels responsible for the ML, given her role as the author, but I wish she had shown more warmth toward Oliver. It feels like a missed opportunity to explore a deeper and more meaningful bond between them.
I agree. I actually thought he was the only one who wasn't crazy at first. I am so disappointed... I hope he will have an early redemption.
