im on chapter 8 rn, and i dont get it?? why is she so upset at enoch when he didnt even do anything except lie abt his identity and not show up to the marriage signing? wasnt the marriage the emperors decision? why is she acting like enoch threatened the empire for her hand in marriage..
my heart hurts for enoch rn and i dont get anything juliet is doing
from her side it feels like enoch forced her to marry him rather than respecting her choice on the matter. she was wanting to build a genuine relationship w him at the beginning but was constantly snubbed. then when she finds out its a man she’s met before it makes that one romantic moment seem like he only approached her bc of an ulterior motive. 2 basic things needed to have a healthy marriage: trust and communication and both fell apart before it even began
HOW HARD IS IT TO SAY A SIMPLE 'oh i was actually talking abt golfing!" "oh my ring is fake i dont actually have a lover" I TYPED THIS IN 1 MIN AND U CANT SPARE A FEW SECONDS TO SAY IT

he was just abt to say it tho he mentioned he was talking abt golfing and he didn’t listen and kept going, honestly after that I wouldn’t tell him abt the ring either

if he didnt listen, he shouldve stopped entertaining his delusions tbh.. why cant they just straight up talk without having to be interrupted by one another and just clear up any questions one has for the other ☹ misunderstandings shouldnt be dragged for THIS long esp when its so simple to fix ykyk
