I think she's right about getting angry at him cause he definitely harmed her a lot.
I always say it in my comments on here: Yes, Seth is a victim but he's the culprit.
Osiris is the worst of them all, and I think Ra also has something to do with all of this, however, in tales of Gods you'll notice how rarely someone is a total innocent.
I hope Osiris gets the worst end of the stick and that the others find inner peace they deserve.

She has every right to get revenge against Seth for hurting her people. I think what made the audience just lose faith in her is the fact that she is victim-blaming Seth and STILL love Osiris. I feel like everyone should be getting they deserve and that includes Seth for being a tyrant ruler. However, I'm especially hoping for Osiris to get what he deserves, because the only thing that happened to him was that he died and went to duat, but clearly has no regret for his actions. Ugh, I hate him so much! ヽ(`Д´)ノ Hope he doesn't get away with it while his image being that of a saint!

I think she was wrong for cursing herself and Seth for Osiris' crime.
Tho somehow she punished herself for being mad at Seth cause she knows it's wrong for her to blame him because she still loves her husband.
Now, when Seth goes out of his way to make her life hell for no reason that's when I gotta give him the side eye.

yea a little heavy-handed but she's super hurt so even though it's not justified (in the same way seth is not either) i understand her. it's like hurting a wild animal, it will still bite you hard, even if it's in pain.
your second sentence is so interesting. she's a smart character, after all she's the amazing goddess of magic and life (according to actual myth). i wouldn't be surprised if she felt guilt. she's more emotionally aware of what's going on that seth is, that's for sure.
omg yess same - and you know, he did it for the same reason isis retaliates later. he wanted to hurt those closest to osiris. it's a cycle of hate, hurt, and vengeance.
meanwhile... osiris is twiddling his thumbs while sniffing his semen flowers (lol) and wreacking havoc via anubis' body.

That's on periodt.
I agree, she's really smart, I like her and to me, so far, she's the only one who has taken accountability for her actions. She knows she made others suffer just like she has been the victim herself. As u mentioned she sounds very much aware of the fact that she's stuck in that vicious circle along with all of her siblings, she's accepted that fate, but her son didn't and it shows in the way he stands up to Sekhmet aka the destruction his parents and aunt n uncle are bound to meet n he questions it, kinda like what is so sure for his elders, he thinks he can change. I guess since he's young and the most innocent, he's also the most hopeful n represents hope for egypt itself.
Anyway u made me think abt this deeper, ty for sharing u ideas with me (=・ω・=)

love your take on horus. it's so on point. he basically looked at all this mess and said "uh, what? no." and is doing things differently.
and you're right about him being the "hope for egypt". interestingly enough, even now in modern times within certain religious/spiritual sects (some people still worship these deities), horus is seen as embodiment of hope for an evolving humanity. his era is regarded as like a step-up from maternal cults i.e. paganism (isis) and paternal cults like christianity/religions with a sacrificial god (osiris).
so curious to see what the new egypt would like under horus' rule in this manhwa.
and omg likewise ૮ ꈍﻌ ꈍა thank you for your thoughtful replies! it's fun to talk about plots, characterizations, and storybuilding!

That's so interesting!
You seem quite knowledgeable about Egyptian mythology, personally this manhwa made me more interested in it, I'm wondering if you maybe could recommend me a n interesting source where I could explore it more if possible? ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
Welcome! The pleasure is all mine, it was refreshing to have a deeper conversation on the characters of a manhwa. You really are interesting to talk toヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~

to be honest i know way more about greek/roman than egypt ( ̄∇ ̄") and it all kind of bled from that pool of knowledge because greece+rome+egypt (+mideast asia) were/are so close geographically and hence interchanged a lot culturally. for example, it's hard to gloss over isis when you know aphrodite evolved from her & ishtar (mesopotamian goddess).
mythology is one of my favorite subjects EVERRR (≧∀≦) that's so awesome that you wanna know more! *squeals like a nerd* there are so many resources, here's a good one to start with, it is super full with egyption god info. in fact i'll read more chunks of it after finishing my assignments, there's just so much to read -> https://www.ancient.eu/article/885/egyptian-gods---the-complete-list/ i also noticed youtube has a bunch of different version of egyptian myths. heads up - like in greek/roman mythology, some stories will have variations but all of them will have [well, should have..] key points in common.
for the horus new era stuff, look into crowley, the golden dawn, and the concept of thelema. here's a good wiki article -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aeon_(Thelema)
crowley so adored the egyptian pantheon that the set of tarot cards he created he named after thoth, god of wisdom.
i for sure don't know everything and i'm always curious, so let me know what cool things you find! hugggg 。:゚૮ ˶ˆ ﻌ ˆ˶ ა ゚:。
Can't wait for more
