And yes she was abused so that probably the source of her lack of goal but still

So was the ML like really bad to the MC or tolerable? I've been putting this further and further down my next to read list because I'm so scared to suffer through 50+ chapters of MC getting all sorts of misfortune.
the ML was not that bad, he pays/sponsors the actor mc to fake date him for an undisclosed amount of time. during this period he is not the nicest to the mc but he also is accommodating enough. the MC though is asked for a simple thing and doesnt want to do it bc then their contract will end and he has feelings so he refuses. the ML then without much context sees something unfortunate happen the the mc and get mad then he does something horrible to the mc. Thats the worst the ML does and maybe their first time in bed together is pretty rough.
The MC though goes through a lot bc all these debt collectors are after him and the ML offers to pay or just deal with the problem but he does not want the help bc of pride.
the worst you'll suffer is annoyance bc the MC walks head first into danger with no worry, dude a bit of a fool.

He wasn't bad except for two sex related incidents, the uke forgives him but I don't lol. But overall those are two separate incidences, it's not a continuous stream of shitty treatment, they get pretty romantic too and have a lot of chemistry, the ML is pretty indulgent with the MC.
The main problem in the relationship is the way the ML acts while knowing how the MC feels, he's leading him on but being very emotionally unavailable anytime the MC actually asks for more like the ML keeps pushing him to. It's confusing and dishonest. They do stop the push and pull eventually and that's when the grovelling arc begins. The ML was not clueless about what he was doing so I do not consider him played by any means, he was messing around with a traumatised 23 y/o ofc he had the upper hand. So if you're ready to read that kind of drama with unrequited feelings, then dive in.
the death of the mother, like sure kwon was involved but he wasnt at fault so he should blame himself, like it was the driver you killed her you just happened to be part of the problem yk it just annoys me when mcs assume that they are the whole cause of a persons death. also if the dad had been able to get help then maybe juha would have had a normal childhood
