no it's a ritual he's conducting. He was already emperor. Maybe it's just an annual reminder

Chapter 6 says he is emperor. chapter 16 says he was seated at age 18 after patricide.
Chapter 12, she said she spent 3 years in the Lair of Demons. Also this latest chapter 17, she says she's returned to fulfill her vow from 3 years ago.

This might not be the best explaination but I think it's just a ritual. In many places Kings and emperor's did day, weekly, month, or yearly rituals. Some where for the civilians or workers to see the king and get tasks others are for their gods. Regardless of it was a coronation I am sure their would have been someone that seemed to take the lead more. Normally the person crowned isn't necessary in the centry untill once it ends but it seems like he is the most important the whole time. That and this ritual only has his lecturing and with a water bowl so I think it's just a regular ritual they have to do every so often. The time line is confusing thought but I think after 16 ended it's back to their current time.

WTF!!! did anyone experience what happened on Chapter 29 page 8?!?!?! It was supposed to be Kotoka crying about the video then it glitched to the picture on page 9 without me touching anything?! the page number is still the same but the picture is different. Tried it multiple times to see if I was hallucinating but it's legit. Don't know if it's happening to anyone else
