Explain please, I was a bit confused by that whole game.
Shiritori is a game where you create a chain of words. You can link words according to the words' first and last syllable.
So for example, in the story, the word for moon in japanese is "tsuKI". The next word that would continue the game could (and did) be "KIsu" meaning kiss. tsuKI is "linked" to KIsu.
Then the next word Akaya wanted Aoe to say was "SUki" meaning I like you. SUki continues the chain of words.
tsuki -> kisu -> suki
Additionally, the game actually ends when you link a word that ends with an "n". So for example, if you link the word "pan" which means bread.
There are probably more rules about this game but this was a general overview. Hopefully this helps in your understanding of the game.
