I prefer 19 days BECAUSE of the drama.
Like, Tamen de gushi is really sweet. But i feel like theres something missing. 19 Days balances the drama and comedy and sweetness really well, while TMDGS focuses more on comedy and romance
19 days has a lot of fighting and drama which is the opposite of sweet. This manga is clearly sweeter. You may prefer 19 days but from an objective point of view this manga is far sweeter.
In my opinion, 19 days is more on the sensual side (basically motherfucking hot) while tamen de gushi is incredible fluff for the heart. Both are good shit.

As a whole TdeG is way sweeter, but 19D'sweet moments have more impact because it has more "dark" tones to be compared with. In other words, quality over quantity. Both are lovely though.

Maybe because TMDGS is a yuri manga, I think something can't be done by girl couple like in 19Days. In 19Day, they can fight a group of gangster, kidnapped, even taking pic of his (He Tian) Mr.P and send it as a joke to Mo.
Shortly, they share sweetness & fluff in their way. Although their story concept is the same. They're taking flashback of their past good time. Since Tamen De Gushi is: 他们的故事, which means "Their Story" in chinese language.
Plus, both of them in TMDGS are so sweet and nice, it just doesn't feel like anything dramatic is gonna happen. Unless their backstory jumps in and one of them is like the daughter of some mafia or smtg ╮(￣▽￣)╭

I agree! This is so fluffy. Although i do prefer 19 days becuase the relationships, characters and comedy seem more genuine and thought out to me. And tbh, when there is even a slightly romantic scene it hits me sooo hard in the feels(≧∀≦)

It's funny bc people are expecting the characters to treat child better.
But it just goes to show that the mangaka kept to their personalities. Athlete boy is a quite selfish and unsympathetic child, that's why he didn't even take notice of uke's hardships and even tried to put the blame on child.
And the father also had his own insecurities, and as men (in Asia culture), these things should be kept hidden because it shows weakness. And men shouldnt be insecure and weak, that's why he turned the tables and blamed his son instead.
Which really made them have their own personalities.
Just because it's fiction doesn't mean that everyone should change in character to suit one person in the story.

But I think it had its charms.
Plus about the chores that he went back to doing, he stopped because he was troubled with athlete boy. He could've stopped so much sooner, but when shit happened with athlete boy, that's when he took action and wanted to leave. Then when things got better, he changed his ways cause he was more confident. Or at least that's what i think.
