Kyuu hinted he was in love with Toshi since childhood at the end, in the flashback where they miss the bus and Toshi comforts the crying Kyuu by telling him to count shooting stars. Kyuu says he "became interested in astrology that day and realized something even more important back then". He became interested in astrology because he was in love with Toshi.
