Jang Jiang Hua Just died because someone one to take over his body and his power to destroy the world...that is why one of the their promise never forget his name....later it's reveal that they actually met when Diangwu xi still a child (but with different hair color) and Jang Jiang Hua still student.. They had quite close relationship... I don't know why they separated.. But it seems painful or not by choice.... So it's not just because he used to be legendary swordsman that he want him to be his soul partner
