"Hey guys! After scouring the internet for any news about this novel, I have come up with literally nothing. Until today.. Hope some of you who have read it can enlighten us more. I am not too thrilled with what I've heard though..
1.) The Emperor gets married to 3 different women before he got to get together with Pauliana. Most likely because of politics and the need for an heir to the throne. And also because Pauliana wouldn't accept the Emperor's feelings right away. (Knight's honor and all)
2.) Pauliana gets engaged to some other guy. Turns out he was a jerk and because she was heartbroken that it didn't work out, she ended up getting drunk with the Emperor. There, feelings were revealed and they ended up spending the night together. (This makes me question where in the world that cheeky Donau is? He seems to have developed feelings for her in the manhwa. Is the manhwa following the novel exactly as it is?)
3.) Pauliana became pregnant with the Emperor's child. And it was a prince! But lo and behold she decided to leave the palace before she even got to give birth. I have no idea why, I'm sure the novel explains it better. Hope someone enlightens us here.
4.) The other 3 wives didn't get the Emperor's love. It was clear to them that he only ever loved Pauliana. One was imprisoned, the other died through childbirth (dunno if the baby lived and was it really the Emperor's child? Please comment here), and the other one asked for a divorce (intelligent, I like her already).

The child survived and it’s a princess. Donau married to one of the twins. Pauliana decided give birth secretly and only tell the truth if the child looks like the emperor. Otherwise she would make the child her heir. Of course she did this because she didn’t know the emperor’s feelings for her.
