Honestly this is how you can tell that the mangaka is a woman who didn't do research. Bottoming takes a lot of preparation and work to ensure that it's pleasurable AND safe.

If the mangaka did their research scenes like this wouldn't be so commonplace. There's a lot of yaois that show prep and make it look sexy and not disjointed from the tension/mood of the scene. Might be fiction but yaoi still gives a lot of people false (and sometimes dangerous) understandings of how things work in real life.
Things I've learned with yaoi when in a relationship throughout the years:
- NEVER miscommunicate
- If you think your partner is cheating on you or just omitting something ask him/her directly as to prevent misunderstandings
- Or just kidnapp them, r*pe them and never let them out until they are so traumatized they can't leave you
