Carcel started taking contraceptives after she almost died. He will stop taking contraceptives during their hunting trip after Ines tells him “sincerely” that she want to have their child. That’s the very first time she tells him earnestly. She always talked about having a child like an obligation. Carcel notices she truly wants a child so he will stop taking contraceptives in the next two chapters or so. However, Ines finds out much later on that he was taking them during the time before the hunting trip and after her near death experience.

The name thing is like fated pairs, however there’s some people that don’t want to be bound by this. And there’s other, like ML’s father, that are willing to take tattoo names. To prevent all this, the government has banned the tattooing of names and covering the names (which is what the MC does). ML wants the name covered just because he didn’t like the idea of fated pairs is what I think the author tried to convey at the start, but now he doesn’t because he thinks it might give the MC anxiety.
