The art style shift is kinda wack but personally THE WRITING IS SO SO GOOD. Like genuinely good. It’s a bit of a mind fuck to follow everything if your just after a casual read but it’s so worth it, such a creative concept that just slowly unravels informs of you. If your just looking for some misery porn or abuse escapism it not for you but if your looking for a solid read 10/10 so far.

ALSO Y DID my dumbass expect kangmoo to express some love towards MC at the end??? but this isn’t rlly our typical bl love story where the psychopath can manifest emotions suddenly bc of the “love” of their lives . that was the angst of the story for me like this mf never once blushed and shit (hes my fav character) well at least no one died right…
the story is so fascinating and had me sweating ballsacks each chapter, and for that im gonna give it a 100! art was wonky at first but u could say i got used to it, it’s very unique nd beautiful hehe.
There are times when it seems like Kangmoo loves Kirin, and then times it seems he doesn’t. It’s confusing af. I think one thing people get wrong is always saying love is a feeling though. And that people with ASPD can’t love someone. Love is a feeling ofc, but it’s also a choice! Choosing to be better, good, and care for someone. Even if you don’t have empathy for them or understand them. I have also read up this, it is unlikely/rare that people with ASPD are capable of loving but it is possible. Usually with close family members and surprisingly, pets!
I also saw a Reddit thread on a subreddit for people with ASPD talking about this, and the way they explain it is they see this person as “theirs”. Like a possession. Attachment. Or they have a hard time gauging their feelings for people because they lack empathy, but assume what they feel is love. I also watched a video if man with ASPD who is Christian, he was doing an interview. He found out he had ASPD as a teen, people said he had it and he wanted to prove them wrong out of pride or something qnd got tests done and he found out he had ASPD. He explained that he never feels guilty about things, but he says he thinks in his own way he loves his wife and children. If his child got hurt, he said he wouldn’t feel pain/bad for them. But he would see them getting hurt is bad, and thus want to help. He says be believes love is a choice, and he chooses to love his family.
So, I guess their love manifests in a different way and sometimes they have a hard time knowing if they love someone. It was very interesting to learn about. But there were also others in the Reddit threads who said they have never loved and feel emptiness with everyone. So it seems like it’s an individual thing, much like regular people.
We often dehumanize people with ASPD, but I find they are like regular people in a lot of ways (even jf we don’t wanna admit it) it’s just that lack of empathy that changes things so much. But even regular people who don’t have ASPD can do atrocious things and have a lack of empathy sometimes. Those with ASPD are just in that state perpetually.
Sorry for yapping btw, it’s just fun to talk about and explain! I also dislike how some people claim people with ASPD can’t feel anything or love when it seems that is not true

You’re welcome! But I get it, I even still struggle with wondering if he loves Kirin sometimes. But, there are things I think about with their relationship that I think proves Kangmoo has love for Kirin
1. He has never had to let Kirin live. He could kill him whenever. But he does let him live. And even protects him at his own expense! With the situation with the American detective, he had wanted to kill Kirin because he realized Kirin was invading his life and becoming a “weakness”. And it would be easier just in case Kirin confesses. But he chose to save Kirin in that wreck. And again, seeing Kirin as his weakness and invasive was a sign Kirin meant something to him
2. When he strangled Kirin, I thought that was for sure a sign he didn’t love Kirin. Especially since he ignored him after and said after killing him he would feel nothing (if I remember correctly) And maybe I am misinterpreting this scene to make me feel better and convince myself that he does love Kirin, but I think him distancing himself was to protect Kirin. He told Kirin to leave and didn’t want to be around him because he knew he was volatile
3. Telling Kirin to leave days after that incident and when he started killing again. He said he would let Kirin go. I also thought, if he loved Kirin how could he let him go so easily? But again, I think was a selfless act. He liked having Kirin around, but told him to leave because he though Kirin would not be able to handle what he was like and his desires to kill. He knew it would be better for Kirin to leave him
4. Jealousy and fidelity. Kangmoo has showed possessiveness and jealousy with Kirin. He also stays faithful to Kirin despite being a very indulgent person with his desires. One might argue this is because he no longer has much interest in sex, but also proves Kirin is still special because he has sex with him them
5. Like he told Kirin, if Kirin wasn’t special why would he put up with so much in relation to him? And this goes back to point one, with how much Kirin might “bother” him, he still keeps him alive and well. And also choosing to stop killing for those 3 years. A promise he made out of care
6. Author’s note. The author says Kangmoo foes not love Kirin, but also said Kangmoo admits he could not leave Kirin easily. He likes Kirin. Also furthers points 2 and 3. Parting with Kirin would not be easy but he was going to do it. But, this also shows he likes Kirin’s company.
7. The author also said once on her social media, that if Kirin did leave him (unsure if this is with future events after the ending or even when he told Kirin to leave the first few times) that Kangmoo would kill Kirin. And she said he would feel empty. Maybe the emptiness is not true to actual psychopaths, since this is a fictional character lol. But she said Kangmoo would feel empty with Kirin gone, and to “get rid of the emptiness” try to kill Kirin. Basically, he would see Kirin as the cause of his emptiness since he left him, and would try to rid the emptiness of not having Kirin by getting rid of Kirin entirely. This might not be healthy, or maybe not even love, but it is definitely an interesting twist on feelings like that
