
I kinda have a similar feeling to when I was reading Kafka - The Metamorphorsis (German School so we had to read it), and yk how the surrounding is having a completely different view to how you are operating, and even though you have the feeling something is wrong, you are blamed, especially when it comes to stuff they think is common knowledge?
Just a very uncomfortable feeling, and makes my blood boil!
I'll just skim it until we get to the actual divorce/revenge,,
it's interesting how the author likes the villain empress, because I do hate her guts. BUT she is not the annoying damsel in distress with a mask that many stories show as a villain, and she does have a proper personality.
For her, you don't need like counterpart that is trending with "ohh let's take a look at the pov of the villain, maybe she was a good person, and the heroin was the real villain" like no.
She as a villain is really well made!
