My only problem with this manga is how Seri always says that he is too old for something. He is only 23 years old .... that's pretty young. I would understand if he was 33, then we could see the difference between the two, but not when he is only 23. This is the only thing that's been bugging me, without it it's perfect.
I remember when I was 23 and felt like I was "too old" for a lot of things in my life. Chronological age isn't what affects us, body or mind, it's the experiences that we've had that wear us down. Seri went through a lot of difficult relationships before Keito. He even admits that his personality - being overly subservient vs possessive - was molded by a bad relationship and that it wears him down having to fight his true nature. His insecurities about his looks and height also wear on him. So, I don't think it is the number of birthdays that have passed that he is referring to. Rather, how old and worn he feels after all he has experienced.
