Yeah same scenario when you ask your crush on the movie date but later you discover that he/she already receive the same movie ticket as you gave him/her.

They were both living in completely different realities. MC assumed ML was a player and was calculating everything around them to make ML win. Beacuse that would ensure he'd have enough things to lose, that he wouldn't out him... which is really twisted.
ML was doing everything for his idol and thought MC was opening up to him assumed their night together wasn't the climax, but the beginning.
ML is young and naive. He trusted MC bcs he took him under his wing and was responding to him ... and MC refuses to open up and just wanted a fun fuck and to advance his carrier ...
