I came expecting an enemies to lovers with a good backstory, a reason for it, some smut and progress in their relationship. That's not what I got.
The more I read the less i like the 2 mcs. There's no need to even mention how messy and unprofessional Michaella looks all the time. She went from a adult woman to a sick mess that can't make one sound decision in a flash. And Andrew... aside being hot af... he has nothing going on for him. A simp for his cheating ex, a jerk, too obsessed with one upping her at work, and the kind of trash that would take advantage of someone like that.
And honestly, that sweaty, greassy slippery way she is drawn all the time... irks me out...
Fuck... even the smut after all this time was... underwhelming. Overwhelmingly disappointing. And I'm not talking just about the censoring. It wasn't sexy... much less arousing... neither of them even looked horny... it was pretty weird tbh...
I've been holding on in hopes for how it would be like and how it would gange their relationship even if slightly but... I might really drop this...
Honestly idk what to say... I'm kinda happy to see so many comments against it because tbh... it shows rp bl is stopping to be the norm... and I'll tell you... like 10+ years ago you had either rp or the kind where nothing was shown, only suggested. Actually we used bl and yaoi to differentiate if there was smex or not... and the heavy stuff (kinky and triggering/violent) was lemon. It was even harder to find green flags then.
I won't deny that I'm still influenced and thought "welp it could be worse" about the rp thing... not justifying, just showing how much it's been normalized. Now I wish to see this same amount of complaints in the "smut and josei" categories... the situation there is no better than here...

I won't even criticize the characters and plot cuz tbh I barelly skim read it... because the art was so weirdly bad it trew me off... idk if its the eyes or the shading or what... but it kinda feel amateurish? Idk how to explain... it just feels weird...
I think I felt this way with a couple other comics as well... as if it's a mix between webcomic and mangá? Like they couldn't decide between coloring it like a webcomic or an anime? It's weird and idk how to express properly... it just really weirds me out?

Maybe? Some oh those do have some... subpar... art... I think it's the inconsistency that bothers me? Some characters as good-looking and well drawn... some ugly and well drawn, some badly drawn... same with clothes detailing... and their exagerated expressions remind me of manga...

For real! Even the backgrounds ate better drawn than most characters... and like... on ch 30... was that girl using her pinky to make that silly face? Don't people usually use their index finger un that pose?? That looks like it was drawn wrongly... I still don't like the art... and the plot feels... weak... imma really dropping it now...
Of finding a really good comic... and finding out... there's... NO NOVEL! It's an original series... sniff with only 9 released chapters... I... I'm gonna cry! Dang it... I love it but I'm way way way too early...

The art is meh... the plot could be good but is not... it tries to be funny but exagerates to much and it's not... there's nothing serious in it so theres no balance... and did I mention the art being meh? Mc's personality is... well... it's ok... but it's just... not as good as it could be?
But they chose to go comedy style and it didn't fit well with the art overall... which was already not that good...
If there's a novel I'll probably go read it...
