I mean... I've seen this kind of plot a lot in both kr and ch works... both novels and comics... and both having a lot of drama and clichés...
But why? Why the same kind of plot in manga feels so... cringy? I tried to read it but felt nothing but second hand embarrassment... and I don't really get why...
Also... why are her poses and clothes like that? Her jeans is so tight it looks like bodu paint instead of a 90's clothing...
All in all... disappointing for many reasons
Even tho she's a lil perv... it actually makes a whole lot of sense? Like... it's a nice way to keep up that shes actually a modern day adult? woman inside as the same time as a current child in that world. Somehow I think Leo is the perfect balance between them...
And also... totally understandable cuz... who among us low mortals wouldn't love that???

Seriously...it have this moody vibe... it's not really an horror vibe but a melancholic/depressive vibe? Even the bright colors are kinda muted and how the shine of the hair is made and the eyes don't have that big light reflection comics usually have...
It really have this subdued air that I didn't know I needed in a comich that it's not tragedy/drama! Maybe begause of the ghosts it fits so well... I just really love it!

Mc is badass and relatable at the same time... and there's a nice balance between his personality and the fact he remembers his past life... he is neither too impetuous nor too calm...
Yeah we all prefer no romance but... it makes sense so he'd be trully part of the clan... and she's not that annoying? Let's be real... we've seen worse.
I'm only questioning her age... cuz it bothers me a 15-16yo with a grown woman's body... unless she's like 18-20... that would justify. And I wouldn't feel too bad cuz he's originally older... and age doesn't really matter too much when they live way longer than normal people...
At least it's only her and not a bunch of women surrounding him... and she's the one dealing with his mess most of the time and not the other way around. And asides of her badoonkas she isn't being portrayed in a misogynistic way... so for now I'm good with it.
And her shock is understandable... her men just got french fissed by a bee...

It's not very bad but I feel it's a waste to have this animated since there are better ones out there... this season and the next one are frigging full of harem, comedic harem and romance...
I agree the art could be better... even more so when mc should be that extremely good looking but it's not... on this point I wonder why rofan art is so much better than action fantasy in general... even if you argue that it's focused on the art of the action part... is not excuse for a lack of overall quality...
On the other hand... I'm glad it ain't "thrilling". Dude was raised and lived his whole life on a battlefield... he has had enough thrill for a couple lives on that one. I guess you can see it as being more slice of life that proper action... but I'm actually eating it! Why? Because at least mc acts his mental age. I'm dead tired of regressors and reincarnators acting linke impetuous teens... either being edge lords after revenge or with savior complex... it's like those wuxia comics where the character is like 200yo+, spent a lot of time cultivating... but still acts like a reckless teen picking fights everywhere... makes little sense but you overlook cuz it's needed for plot... but sometimes... sometimes I just want some mc that acts their mental age... that have the maturity of an adult and not just the intelect... and that's what I like in this one...
But they chose to go comedy style and it didn't fit well with the art overall... which was already not that good...
If there's a novel I'll probably go read it...

I tend to turn away from stuff with the romance, ecchi and harem tags. There are exceptions for this though, it is either that the romance isn't that bad or the plot and premise is that interesting.
I hate certain portrayal of women as merely walking accessories.

I came expecting an enemies to lovers with a good backstory, a reason for it, some smut and progress in their relationship. That's not what I got.
The more I read the less i like the 2 mcs. There's no need to even mention how messy and unprofessional Michaella looks all the time. She went from a adult woman to a sick mess that can't make one sound decision in a flash. And Andrew... aside being hot af... he has nothing going on for him. A simp for his cheating ex, a jerk, too obsessed with one upping her at work, and the kind of trash that would take advantage of someone like that.
And honestly, that sweaty, greassy slippery way she is drawn all the time... irks me out...
Fuck... even the smut after all this time was... underwhelming. Overwhelmingly disappointing. And I'm not talking just about the censoring. It wasn't sexy... much less arousing... neither of them even looked horny... it was pretty weird tbh...
I've been holding on in hopes for how it would be like and how it would gange their relationship even if slightly but... I might really drop this...

I'm kinda happy to see so many comments against it because tbh... it shows rp bl is stopping to be the norm... and I'll tell you... like 10+ years ago you had either rp or the kind where nothing was shown, only suggested. Actually we used bl and yaoi to differentiate if there was smex or not... and the heavy stuff (kinky and triggering/violent) was lemon. It was even harder to find green flags then.
I won't deny that I'm still influenced and thought "welp it could be worse" about the rp thing... not justifying, just showing how much it's been normalized. Now I wish to see this same amount of complaints in the "smut and josei" categories... the situation there is no better than here...
