What if the continent beyond is from Arthur's previous life. From what we know Art's kingdom is pretty technologically advanced with trains and stuff. What if the invisible/camera bird is frm tht kingdom to spy on Dicathen. O.o
frm my perspective tht kingdom feels pretty violent or strong bcus on how you have to fight your way to be king. Probably they have been spying on Dicathen for a few years but haven't started om anything cause they are kinda slow in technology.
With an advanced technology kingdom like that im sure they have incredible scientists. So what if they found out that Dicathen had mana to manipulate earth, wind, water and fire but they only had 'ki'
so the scientists probably done all sorts of experiments to try and duplicate mana or smtg and test it out on the people of Dicathen like lab rats. Hence the weird blood spells on the spinal cord.
The bird spying can also be used by the scientists to send the 'experiments' or monitor the condition of their lab rats.
Anyway thats just a theory,
