wait i js went and reread chapter 3 and idk how i never caught onto this. in chapter three he says “what if that rock suddenly comes and falls onto the town? that’s why i stay up here to make sure it sits tight and doesn’t fall down.” Isn’t this exactly what sisyphus’s story and punishment was? is this a sign that it will roll down soon and cause all sorts of chaos?

i get both parts omg, the rush when your parents are on your side after bullying you for years. the feeling of needing to look cool infront of others despite your situation so you’ll be on the same level, oh this is so painful
