I keep thinking it goes like this: our sweet flower boy finds out where the vampire is when he comes to get a supply of dahlia roses, and he waits for those ten years.
I'm ready for the 3679955 side story chapters we should get just like we get from every other story. Ready for their family life, with Taeju dancing for Jellyfish 2.0, the two brothers getting into shenanigans, Euihyun kicking his father's teeth and feeding him to the fishes, Wonyoung getting dragged into church...
Y'all keep talking about cockblocking and all I think about is how Cheongho literally said he even got blocked when Yiho was *inside* Yirim. Little guy was a literal cockblock.
"Does your dog bite?"
"No, but it can hurt you in other ways."
And then EH had to go and say those things out loud ╥﹏╥ I get it, girl. That's been on your mind 24/7, but damn.
Re-reading this after Jinx, I kinda feel that Alex wasn't that big of an asshole - or at least not as much as I remembered. Mingwa reaaaaally wanted to have a super red flag top and she finally did it over there.
I expected the toxic top trope because that's what the author likes and I'm okay with it (it's her story, it's fiction, all good). But the part when JK yeeted the gift Dan gave him was like "oh boy, you little bitch" and I just wanted to slap him really badly.
Like the fact that Taeju is wearing his house slippers on the street because he must have run out that door so fast when he heard his boy was drunk. And the little flinches from Euihyun when he tries to not react to what's going on and keeps playing dumb.
Then again, what did he get from the neighbour? Is it a heat inducer? I'm high-key hoping it's not, but I'm also low-key hoping it is.
The top's family background? Did anyone else find that...??? I don't know how to describe it? Like, yes, I'd get why the top would subconsciously think it's better to hide things after being traumatised like that, but... It was unexpected. Having said that, I really liked this. Not the friend tho. Wish they'd have stopped that part before it got that far.
It's the communication for me. Figuring yourself out, finding someone to rely on, taking your time... It was great.
