They aren't connected at all. The author just recycled the female lead's name in both stories which caused confusion with readers. The Serin in this story is an actress who has a thing for her boss. The Serin in the other story was a college student turned prostitute in some pointless revenge plot.

You're welcome and I felt the exact same. I would go as far to say the stories are staged in the same universe because in the the other story, Ser-In was actually her prostitute name. It wasn't her real name. The Ser-In here was innocent and somewhat naive. The other Ser-In was for the streets because she was actually cheating on the BF who unalived himself with her professor.

Season one was good but season two was so frustrating to read. I also felt bad for Hangyeol, I was hoping for him to get his happy end too
I really loved this story and idk why but I kinda want a story with the bad guy (forgot his name) having a redemption arc
