Kyle has the purest intentions despite his mother’s disapproval. Kyle is a green flag while Mathias is a beautiful red flag. Mathias is a spoiled noble who has everything but Leila. He compares her to a rose which is alluring, beautiful and pleasant. I knew he fell for her the moment he laid eyes on her. He doesn’t know how to express his feelings which is understandable since he was taught from a child to do which is expected of him out of duty ie the engagement. At the end of this chapter it’s clear he will not extend his military service. It is his first act of rebellion to go against expectations. His mother speaks poorly of Leila and doesn’t even realize her son has fallen head over heels for the orphan girl.
The story started out very interesting. However, 50 plus chapters later I am not sure where this story is going. I know he has a lot of enemies which he disposes of it seems every other Chapter. Not sure why he keeps her around I guess to have an occasional rump in the hay after a night of murdering his enemies. This story has so much potential. I thought she was trying to reunite with her sister and get away from the Prince aka ML. I hope this story gets back on track.

I am patiently waiting with him which it seems like 4 ever. I understand she wants him to find someone his age but girl he wants you. It’s funny how she wants him to dislike her. I think it's more about her being traumatised by her last relationship (and the age gap too) but like she got violently cheated on rn and it's still very fresh
