It would be stupid if they were to break apart from each other, he didn't cheat & she didn't give up, he obviously felt like she didn't love him anymore because of her actions & she was fighting her own battles(as far as i remember, it's been ages since i last read the last update)
& also the other couple getting divorce was great & made sense
He went on dates holding hands with a different woman. He kissed and touched a different woman's body. His heart belongs to a different woman, he cheated. Cheating is not "penetration". Cheating actually starts in your head, and even if we don't consider it. He still did the things I already wrote above. So yeah, he DID cheat. And no, people should not stay together if they or at least one of them has no feelings towards the other anymore. it is toxic af.
also forgot to say, he didn't penetrate the other woman, because she didn't want to, not him. so yes, it is cheating.

^^ all those are valid reason as well as their values being completely different making them incompatible. Even if another woman wasn’t the reason for the separation- with how different they are, they would’ve had a bad relationship regardless. She values work over everyone and everything. He values quality time together over everything. It wouldn’t work. Plus he already doesn’t love her anymore. The only thing holding him back from leaving is because she doesn’t want to let him go.
