Yah no. Sangwoo never loved bum in any way or form, he was just using him for his sick fantasy cuz he looked like his mom. Sangwoo is said by the author to not even be gay lol so romantic/sexual love is right off the table.
I don't think sangwoo was capable of normal love like you and I are. Bro is an absolute psychopath. I think he has an obsession and possessiveness in a sense over bum as well as the comfort bum seemed to give him but not the typical type of love you and I would call love.

I think he had some humanity in him, he was a victim himself before becoming the one harming others. I cried when he died at the end because their story is sad... also, controversial maybe to say but sangwoo is my favorite character in this manhwa because of his complexity. He's incredibly interesting. While this manhwa was ongoing the readers, me included, kept speculating and theorizing about him as the story continued. I still think he had some type of humanity in him!!
i do too, i liked him as a character, its just incredible how the author tried to convey bits of his complicated perception too. and to be honest, i though he survived at least, i just hope they both had proper closure, and that bum will not keep running towards him and let go too..
