Its so sad to see the story from these different sides because yes she was a cold hearted mother but we know that she had depression and internal conflicts that she couldn’t handle because she was all alone. While her husband loved her in his own way she thought both of them were using each other and he never cleared it up because how could he when his wife thought everything was good. But then he left her to go to the war and she had to handle everything as well as being pregnant. At the prime time of her youth she was expected to be a mother to a baby she felt like she didn’t know. I’m happy that she got a second chance and finally they can talk and handle everything.
This reminds me of another manga where two friends one day decided to fool around and one of them fell in live while the other continued to do it with girls. Yeah but that one had ended with a huge confession in the graduation party (which they both were in tuxedos and it was kinda a like a wedding) in front of everyone and then they danced together

I hate the blondie. I hate him. He stole all that money just to eat and drink and then injured the black haired guy and didn’t compensate for shit! He keeps bringing up “oh yeah you tore up my tent” but honestly? I dont give a fuck right now. I would have thought differently if he was starving and couldn’t do anything else but he clearly isn’t like that. He stole the money just to party. Injured the guy several times and still cries about his tent while two timing his girlfriend. Unless he gets what he deserves and unless I see him apologize and compensate the other guy I don’t think I’ll change my mind.
Phew now I can go back to reading :)

This is such an nice piece of fiction that is both cute but also interesting. It’s not cliche and it has this little bit of out of normal side that is still nice. Like I feel like all the other stuff that I have read about confinement in any sense all go too far and become this weird serial killer rapist plot and the other person still falls in love and I’m like whaaaat? But I love this. Because this is such a nice in between of both mysterious and has that little edge of shocking element to it while also being cute.
I waited and waited for Seraphine and the king to be like “hey! Ur like our daughter! U have her hair and my eyes!” But instead the king...likes her? It’s weird...why do you pat a 14 year old girl on the chest...why do you sleep with her when she is neither your sister or daughter? I wanted her to be play the matchmaker and make them fall in love faster but instead...this is happening...

Yeah I waited for her to suggest somethings to the king in that sleeping scene like “hold her hand, be gentle with her” but she didn’t care about the saintess at all???? Even though she saved her by curing her heart...like she didn’t only have to help her escape...she could have done what she did in the last episodes sooner...i had really high hopes for this but...
i hate this trope of ‘I don’t want to be follow the plot’ but in the end she still follows the plot only difference is that she’s somehow all the grown ass m*n in a 100 radious fall in love w them and she’s now the mc
