I sorta get Gabi being the female version of Eren. They're way too alike in terms of temperament, recklessness, and skill. However, Eren differs from Gabi where he isnt prone to denial. When faced with the truth, he actually hears it out, whereas Gabi doesn't.
On another note, I get having these mirror characters on opposite ends, where hajime has us hating one character for the very same reason we like the other. Though, in my defense, I always preferred the supporting characters ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

How often do you guys come across women who are that petty in offices? Yoai makes it seem like it's a rather common occurrence.
I'll be honest, I work in a male dominant industry, and w/o a doubt, women have it tough. Often, we as women, the minority, are put in this position of representing our sex (it's the same for persons of asian decent, african decent, indian decent etc.) If someone screwed up, it is indicative of a woman's capability, vs. that individual's capability. This climate really puts women under immense pressure, and we become prone to anger, and depression.
HOWEVER, I have never seen women behaving this petty for a MAN. If anything, i'll admit we're petty when it comes to our work and lifestyle. Not having much support, we become competitive when other women or men encroach in our space, we take it as a personal attack to our security. --> btw, this is getting better, especially with more awareness and protests towards gender equality.
On a final note, this is based on my experiences, i.e interacting/ conversations with colleagues, friends, and strangers. I don't think this should be a surprise, but women aren't always thinking about guys or how to get in their pants. Like our counterparts, we think about our future, where our next meal will come from, savings, staying happy, how better to support oneself and family etc.
Wow, this turned out quiet long, sorry guys. But, I feel just done attacking women for trying to do the best they can for themselves. Idk, you feel me?

I work in a professional global company so i dont face this problem, however my friend work in all malay (my race) company and she is bullied by her coworkers (female) just because she is a new girl and an executive took a liking on her.
Based on my observation, the occurrence happens more often in a company with only one race. My other friends also faced problem being ostracized at work just because they dated someone with higher position in the company.
I get the empowerment thing, but women can also be scary when it comes to guys or their crush, especially when they ganging up with other female.

I worked in several companies where I met either nice women and women who can be rather mean. This one woman was such a bully that she backed me into a corner threatening me when all I was doing was just doing my job. Every little thing set her off. This one last job had every sort of person you can imagine. I think this was yaoi imagined. I always kept to myself but I observed the overtly nice person, the gossips, the bullies, the office easy people, the people who used their flirtation skills to get ahead in that business while sleeping with the boss while putting you down, I even had that one character like the sweet MC. Name it and we had it. Males and females alike.

I had a teacher in business college who made a point out of telling us that bullying did happen at some work places and that people died from it (either from illnesses related to being bullied or from suicide). He himself worked at a point in a huge company, where someone committed suicide after being repeatedly bullied. After a recent court case where 4 men (the employer and 3 workers) were found guilty of repeated bullying and sexual assault of a male apprentice (they held him down and shoved a broom shaft up his butt) nothing really surprises me anymore. People can be beyond cruel.

Without a doubt, we can be scary. From what you're saying, it's clear these women are insecure of their position in the company, the fact that though they've been working there for a while, yet dont receive the recognition the newbie got....it will definitely incite frustration. However, they can't take it up to their executive, so they turn to the weakling. It's sad, but it's not entirely their fault. The environment they are in is toxic, and people in power, a majority of which are men, exploit it. I think it's unfair to ask a woman to always take the moral high ground, it's actually impossible, and actually have men be accountable for their actions.

Exactly! Males and females alike have the potential to be nice and rather mean. But, I find it extremely toxic that career women in yaoi are portrayed as just rather mean, or bullies. I had a 'friend' who just didn't like me, and like yours, everything I did set her off. So we broke it off, but that was one out of the countless other friends i've made.

This was hard to digest, but you're right. People can commit atrocities, history has paid witness to it. I mean, in the past couple months we've had 3-month olds, 5-month olds, and just recently 5 year olds getting raped. And quite honestly, I hope those 4 men get charged for their crime, and are serving in jail.
As for my post, I just don't want career women being always portrayed as this petty person. Clearly, in your case, men are likely to commit such acts, so why not have that be the case. You get me? I hate women being used as means to represent the 'evil' one in life, that's horrible.

*Keita grinds against Satoshi*
Me: "Ah..." (heart erratically beating, face flushing red)
*Keita looking at Satoshi from beneath his bangs*
Me: "..." (heart beating much faster, forgetting to breathe)
Keita(final panel): "...Can I?
Me: "RAWS!! Where are dem raws!
Also Me: "Btw, did he just ask permission? And did I just find that extremely hot!?"
Finally, Yaoi making dem strides!!

For the past couple chapters, I have been insanely bloodthirsty, shouting out, "Die!.. Die!... Bitch, you deserved it! ....I need more torment,... more torture.... WHY!?.... Gabi, you need no screen time, bring back mah squad!...Reiner, you just had to wake up, stfu and sleep, bitch!" etc.
I'll see myself out Σ(  ̄□ ̄||)

No you are so me!!! I was doing the exact same thing through out these past chapters! I think we are just so scared of Eren's side taking another lost after all the lives lost in Paradi Island. We just want our side to win something and return all the pain they experienced back onto Libero's side. I want Gabi's and everyone else on her side, head hanging from pikes. (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸 And Reiner, you mofo stay dead damn it!

Okay, so I got a bit bored, and I was fumbling with this idea:
What if the person Rogi always thinks about is really Ane-san. He is angry at Aki for letting her get killed or something. He takes his revenge on a carbon copy of Aki, aka his son, and covers his eyes, the one part that reminds him of ane-san.
Lol, I'll see myself out ( ̄∇ ̄")

What is that, Harry Potter? "You look exactly like your father, except for your eyes. They're your mother's."
I like this theory. Ever since Rogi met Asami, I always thought that he's already attached to her. She's like the big sister or mother Rogi felt he never had (on mother, we don't know how he is treated by his parents, all we know is they just died, and he claims he always felt alone).

But I don't see him having any kind of affection like that for her?

I actually think you guys are a bit off the mark. Rogi truly loathes Asami, it was why he had no qualms about raping and abusing her son, who ro Rogi, acts and looks mostly like his mother. If there is any emotion that binds Asami and Rogi together, it is jealousy. All these characters are jealous (hints the title) of another in a way. For Asami, she loathes Rogi internally because he is trying to become another "woman" of Akitora. She would never openly admit this because it is not her place to as a Yakuza's wife, where having many mistresses or women is normal. Rogi is also jealous of her and anyone who can truly claim to be apart of Akitora's family. Rogi did try to kill Asami, remember. He can admit that she is cool but does not care for her in any sort of affectionate way. There is just not alot of evidence to prove that, and far more evidence to prove the opposite.

Rogi does not have to be affectionate with her to like/care for her plus it is still early to tell whether Rogi eternally hated Asami. Rogi trying to kill Asami, that was when they first met, of course Rogi would do so but after getting to know her, will Rogi still do the same thing? I don't remember anyone mentioning in Yondaime that Rogi had anything to do with Asami's death or that he is being blamed for her death.
It's just a theory anyway and Rogi could have raped Yuki for two reasons, either or both. Revenge on Tora for somewhat killing Asami and/or on Asami for being the eternal love of Tora's.
Your arguments are based on what is happening now, in the flashback, but there's still to be developed in the later chapters as they interact with Rogi more. Plus the scenes span from 2-3 days since the Rogi rescue from Handa, so they are still hating on each other.

I think Rogi is in love with Akitora, and unconsciously thinks of Asami as his ideal mother. Because I’m sure his real parents, who I imagine to be ordinary people (his dad has a rather rigid kind of job) didn’t understand Rogi and denied him, but Asami didn’t deny Rogi’s craziness and let him stay at their home. He looked so happy the night he stayed over and I felt it was not just about Tora, but to be at a place like home. (ch7 pg40)
Asami is a love rival and he hates her, of course, but he also admires her for her maternal tolerance.
I won’t be surprised if Reika was Rogi and Asami’s daughter. Either Rogi raped her or Asami let him out of jealousy (to get back at Tora) I think both is possible. (don’t get mad at me because of my fucked up idea, it’s just a hypothesis)

Not disagreeing with you but I think there's a hint in this chapter as to another reason why Asami is jealous of Rogi, where Rogi and Akitora bond over the magazine and supernatural topics, which she openly scorns. She's already talked about how she can only follow on after someone like Tora and here is Rogi who shares that same wild side she can't keep up with. I think that's what she fears in Rogi, that he can reach part of Tora she can't.
Wow, this was an unexpected manga. It started out sorta comical, but ended so beautifully. Their relationship is beautiful, the characters themselves are a joy, this manga was simply perfect.
