It took Ian 50 chapter to actually acknowledged Jo's feelings for him. You will know this when you read chapter 50 however that doesn't mean Ian is in love with him just because he acknowledged Jo's feelings. It will take a lot of pain and suffering for us to see who will Ian choose at the end. You need to pay attention to all the details and the differences between both couples. Everything has a meaning even the colour of the background and a mere object. Jo and Ian's relationship is more like a slow burn.
