Woah there. Why the hate? You can see that he's kinda a nice guy and it's doing everything for maise. He wants the best for her and it's patient about her exactly because of maise. He doesn't want to scare or hurt her. Yes i think there will be a drama when the truth comes out, so what, that means that there's gonna be spicy moments but i still don't want them to break up.

I just hate it that people are criticizing the demong king for being manipulative and toxic it was understandable for his part because of his status. And besides im totally simping for the ML. I really love how this story goes.

Lol the "at least he's not raping her" part. Feeling kinda funny since that's so basic it doesn't even qualify to be called the bare minimum and in a way shouldn't even have to be mentioned but so many stories still fail to meet that super fucking basic criteria pwq so yeah, I feel slightly weird to be saying this but yeah, at least there's no rape. Aside from him once or twice stating that it's hard to control himself, there's not even a shadow of a mention of anything remotely non or even dubcon. If you were to compare it to someone controlling their inner beast, he has not put it on a tight leash but fully trained it so that it turned into a domesticated doggie in front of its owner xD.
It's quite interesting how he's a mix of super considerate and on the other hand very manipulative and scheming when it comes to her. And then, going a step further, what exactly the motivations are behind different behaviours of his. E.g. luckily he's not magically manipulating her but that's because it's literally impossible. It seemed like if he could, he would. Rather than consideration and kindness, it somewhat seems like all of his actions in regards to her are shaped by his wish to be with her and receive her voluntary affection; and the reason why when with her, he's almost always acting considerately and kindly is because that just happened to be how to best achieve that. But holy shit is he doing it well. XD
His morality is super gray and ironically enough, this seems very human. Aside from him deceiving her about his identity and her "job", I'd say it's a classic case of morally gray motivations with sparkly shiny results.
Of course, not considering the people he's harming like the dude that attacked her with a present xD. That's another matter entirely (￣▽￣")

Wow thank you for this! I really like the ml its not your typcal character that you would get to fall inlove suddenly because he' still doesnt show her the real him yet besides he really did put a lot of effort and thinking by calculating his actions to get the MCs affection (so thats a plus). Now we just have to wait how this story gets escalated once the MC knows the truth behind all this. Such suspense tho i know the FL will eventually accepts the demon king cant wait for that
