I guess it was because the story started so predictable. At first, I thought it was going to be the same outcome, but no. The amazing thing about this story is it is not just what you think it is. The novel actually pulled me in even though there are grammar lapses and the english translation isn't that great. It has more depth than the cliched Chinese novels, tbh. I am waiting for the update since Dec 5. It has 1520 chapters currently and I've already reread the novel for the third time.
