And I have no idea what the ml is trying to pull here. He is not portrayed as some kind of slow-witted shit, so I think he's emotionally manipulating the mc, taking advantage of his weakness. Liberating the fact that they are childhood friends.
He seems to plan to monopolize the mc for the rest of his life.
But regardless of how this story ends, the mc will end up with the ml. It feels kind sucks.

Yh I'm pretty sure he likes the mc so the fact that the mc seems like he likes soohwa (in ml eyes) is making him super angry and jealous so instead of dealing with his feelings he decides to lash out and be homophobic instead
Welp, pretty sure he does. But I also heard from the raws that the ml continued being a shit towards the mc even when they got to college. And the mc finally got tired of receiving such kind of treatment from the ml and eventually gave up on him. It felt kinda satisfying knowing that, tbh. Hopefully, that'll be where the redemption arc for the ml begins.
