My understanding of Oda still being with Katou after he lost his powers is cause hes hyper fixated on him. He believes Katou chose him to be special like him and like he said Katou is his 'saviour'. Katou does say he lost his powers gradually which could mean Oda didn't hear his thoughts for years and continued to be obsessed with him. So even when he started hearing his thoughts Oda kept his fixation, he even says he only truly likes Katou and judging from his backstory he had intense apathy before he met Katou so its highly possible Katou is the first thing hes truly 'loved' or wanted.

ian is not the only one who suffered from homophobia. they both are in an environment that values compulsory heterosexuality. tjs internalised homophobia and shame is heartbreakingly realistic not justifying what he did but grateful for doyak acknowledging it and not doing the ‘im only gay for you’ for you trope.
Tbh tj didn't even recognize the gang homophobia. He didn't experience any backlash for it. Only Ian did and he the one that recognize it, not tj. Tj was more about building connections than hiding his sexuality. It weird because it is obvious David Kim is gay, even other gang members knew about it but no one said anything about it or went against him. This comes down to Jamie. He hated Ian and how he talk about Ian could be the reason why so many talk behind Ian back.
