I'm guessing he will die more because with out his controller his cells will kill him and heal him the same time and he will have more seizures. Since his cells are unstable and are not fully researched or understand it fully, he could turn into a worm or something else. Because when he died in the school he was talking to someone in his mind like he has a different person living inside him refusing him to die.
