I feel like, Gray (the red hair guy), was the reason why Elle (the uke) returned back in time. He owns a black market which means he buys rare and mystical things. The hint was found at the end of chapter 3.5
That's a great theory, I'm so glad he returned back in time, everything was awful in that future ╥﹏╥
Could also be knight going to him coz he promised to stay by Elle's side "this time"
Or maybe it could've been that he really jumped and when he died he was given a new opportunity or maybe he never lived any of that (yet) it could have been a premonition (like in final destination or something like that) (=・ω・=)
