Wait why doesn't she tell him that he has the wrong person, or how do they not realize that the house they are visiting isn't the one they acctually wanted, is everyone here stupid

Tl:dr at the end. So, it's a dumb set up but basically:
1) set up is a patriarchy and men are fully in control of everything. This means that if they're too displeased, it becomes a problem for the women.
2) In the past, she straight up said, "I'm not x person" and they didn't believe her. When she finally proved it, the man yelled at her for deceiving him and it "became a huge mess". Based on most of the historical fiction I've read, that means that there was likely not just a scandal but her family had to pay a fee or her father had to kowtow to a bunch of people to smooth things over.
3) the custom here is that it's inappropriate for her to just show her face so she's trying to give him hints.
Tl;dr: Basically, she wants him to figure it out and call off the engagement so she doesn't have to deal with wounded male ego. It's NOT a good set up but it's a refreshing change to what I'm used to so I'll deal with it for a few more chapters. Hopefully, they don't drag this out for too long.

Ok this is coming from someone who has zero clue about art so i might be spewing BS, but in my opinion isn't art about creating something unique as an individual and not be a copy of someone else, i mean it's not bad to be inspiried by someone else but to be a literral copy of someone is the opposite of what art is supposed to be, something that distinguishes each individual by their unique style, and the way they create and express their feeling trough thier works, so how can you expect someone to grow if you keep them shackeld to the same place and expect them to make only art that you deem as perfect, even someone like me who has zero clue about art sees that's simply not how things work and im glad that Hera has finally broken free and decided to grow on her own, and as for Li on while i do feel kinda bad for her given her fucked up situation i still can't get over how she treated Hera in the earlier chapters just cause she could, maybe if she and Hera have a heart to heart and she apologizes for everything and start from the begining maybe that will be the key to unlock the shackels that Mi Lan put on her and she'll finally be free to create her own art in her own way, but that remains to be seen ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I get what you mean, but art can be objective and binary within subjectivity. It seems contradictory, but like writing, there are criteria and metrics.
And lots of perfectionist artists are desperate to reach this ultimatum piece and "tour de force"
And it's easier said than done not to compare your crafts with others
This really doesn't make any sense, yea your anger is understandable but don't take it out on her, they are very well avare that she has no connection or knowlege about her mother but somehow she is just as horrible as her, they vetter give us a proper explanation soon Σ(っ°Д °;)っ
