We can forgive or not forgive, but our opinions wouldn't really matter in their story. I think by "never forgetting trauma" they meant, us as the viewers, shouldn't sweep dojin's actions under the rug and forget everything, since they used the pronouns "we" instead of using hyesung as the subject, and as an SA survivor that's what I thought they meant until I read your reply.
