He was the wolf (coyote, demon, devil, you can call him however you want, because whole story is one big metaphor). He killed the sheep, Dennis took his own life at the end becoming one of the sheep who lost everything because it trusted the wolf.

I know their relationship is rocky in the beginning, and how much the ML is an ass, but it's really well written and he ended up becoming my favorite character, no sarcasm. ML actually managed to reverse my thoughts by how much he grew and expressed his love. By the end of the novel I really wished someone could love me as much as Sehyun loves Yoonshin.
