Yes, I dont get the erenxmikasa thing too. If my memory is right, isayama mentioned in an interview many many years ago that eren's love for mikasa is platonic only. So there goes my confusion. It's not established well that eren has romantic feelings for her. I thought he somewhat sees historia as special. Gabby lives. Ugh. Honestly, I would have preferred isayama's original ending than this revised one. It kinda feels rushed. We were left with more unanswered questions. Not saying it's a super bad ending. Some people like it. But for me, it feels so unsatisfying. Like it leaves a bitter aftertaste and I don't like it.

Isayama is just so good at making Eren hides his true feelings and he wanted an unexpected ending since people tends to overthink to much when it can end in much simpler and realistic way
