I think the problem is exactly that he's been controlled his whole life. In the start as well it seemed like he didn't really care about anything, even if it was related to himself. What I'm trying to say is that he's been disappointed by everyone so much that another person adding to that doesn't really matter to him, he's already used to it, even if he did hope for differently this time

I loved it except the part where he's so convinced that he has to follow the novel's story line. And the love triangle of the child... I mean it's cute but it hurts me to know that the other child will be rejected in the future. I was hoping that hyeol and hotso becomes brother then hotsu and the other child are the endgame. But the current ship still cute tho.
