Well, going by Penelope's reputation, she just barely got the family on her side. Just barely. If she were to tell someone, they would all just think she's nuts or throwing a fit again, and that will make them lose their trust in her. Hence, her most logical solution is to just get as far as possible. Honestly, in a demon situation, I ain't going to be playing the white person going to explore the haunted house. I'm running as far as possible, probably find a bunch of exorcists or clerics that can cast divine smite or banishment ╥﹏╥

No I kinda agree, and Yvonne is pointing it out here, like, why does Penelope think she, such a central character who has changed so much of the beginning of the protagonist’s intro set up, can just quietly disappear. Even if that wasn’t the case, Penelope knows too much about Yvonne. Penelope needs to get out of flight mode and go into fight mode

I don't think Penelope is a bad b though... like she did some of the "badass" things in the story earlier because the game system essentially gave her no other options. But she's always scared, her main motivation since the start was always just to try and survive, she's scared and anxious constantly over all the things that could go wrong and possibly end her life early. Sure in these later chapters she seems more just exhausted from everything and even on some level wishes she could just die already but much like people in real life, she chickens out a bit when actually faced with a force so threatening she doesn't even know how she could confront it. Yvonne is what's making her scared the most right now

Yeah, I believe humanity should be given the top priority and basically all religions says so too. It's the people who twist them as per their need. (shaking my head in disappointment)
