the novel (translation) is ongoing so that means relative to manhwa, there’s still a VERY long way to go. 255 chapters (and this manhwa chapter is like chapter 70 in the novel which is the first vol. of the novel) have been updated and still ongoing. i think the novel will end at like 300chapters. you can get the novel on novelupdates but i think it’s mtl—which i can’t stand so i stopped reading it— and that’s if u wanna know how it goes.
therefore i (hopefully) think there’s still much more room for plot & character development but it will take long i think the manhwa will be 300 chapters or so.
and to be honest if u don’t like the story you don’t have to read. there’s a dissonance to say you hate the story and then come back next update to read the update and comment again about how you hate the story idk seems like an exhausting cycle. im ambivalent about the plot progression (i read this facetiously with a smooth empty brain) and ginjyo’s art style is a REALLY big incentive (for me) to keep reading. if they ever stop drawing this manhwa i don’t think i’ll care about it anymore.
who is david kim? who is jamie? who is the guy that threatened to shoot jamie? who tf is jang and what does yw got to do with him? who is the guy that died and tj (and yw) attended the funeral? who is the brother to that guy that died that makes an ominous appearance at the funeral? who is the guy (the old dude with daughter who was once betrothed to tj) that tj asked to help him take power? who is the MAIN antagonist of the story (if there is)? who did tw shoot/assassinate and why? pls help me understand like i’m confused on the gang members and how they are affiliated with yw and tj.
okay so i looked at the special episode (for the 3rd time):
• jason kim is the guy who is threatening jamie with the gun. 2nd command of k35. he is also the guy who dies (he had cancer) and who’s funeral tjian attend. he takes tjian under his wing because tj asked to join his gang as a way to earn money fast (irc)…so tjian were his direct surbodinates
• jamie lee (the guy being threatened) joins the k35 alongside tjian but ends up working for the 3rd command who rn is unknown (?)
•the brother of jason is probably the real leader of k35 and that’s who tj is going against (i think?)
anyway make any clarifications for me if i got it wrong.
author had to cement the american setting by giving us a gun violence scene
cuz tbh if karel did that to me (esp the slap…) in public i’d just kill myself in front of him to spite him and change the trajectory of the life he’s trying to meticulously plan (without inform the subject of his love and affection all the details)
i hope they never stop their bickering it’s like foreplay n it’s so fun to see them tug at each other’s tails…and when it’s mixed with tak’s rare softness hehe
