waiting for horus to take off that damn bird headdress. my desire to live increases everytime i see his phenomenal face card courtesy of isis.

Lmao, maybe it's to explain why the ancient Egyptians "thought" Horus "only" had a falcon head for a head, and always depicted him with a falcon head for a head, and ONLY a falcon head.... (tldr; the deities that appear wearing "animal headdresses" in this story only had animal heads, and no human heads, in the original myths and art; their human heads hidden under headdresses are only an invention of this story)

the most interesting aspect about the ennead lore is humans having such a significant sociological influence on the gods themselves that they end up subjecting themselves to human conventions eg. gender binaries, monogamy etc. (remember what ra said during seth’s trial when nephthys was convinced her betrayal and infidelity)
like you can marry your siblings but you can’t do polyamory? like you’re immortal gods no one cares if you are in a freaky polycule. the plot of this manhwa would be cut by half if a) the was no incestuous marriage, b) seth, isis, osiris, nephthys decided to be romantically and sexually intimate together (all of them), c) osiris wasn’t a conniving weirdo. point b would be funny to read once horus enters the picture tho.
imagine your next king dying the day before his coronation. the previous king abdicates his throne and his son bound to inherit the throne gets stabbed in the streets the day before he is crowned king. how inane. thinking about the young prince (nok’s half-brother who’s a kid) and how he basically has no familial support system now that nok is dead
THIS IS NEXT LEVEL SADNESS FR
