I’ve seen you replying on bunch of comments here for the same thing and honestly you could’ve just ignored it if you’re triggered by it. But here you are again calling others abuse defenders over a character in which you don’t even try to understand. Are you also the type of person who calls Vladimir Nabokov a pdflie for making Lolita? You don’t even have to like a certain character but you refuse to see the point of others and what the story is all about. At this point you’re either media illiterate or just have strong feelings about it due to personal experiences. For those people like Lydia in real life, some of them aren’t worth any forgiveness. But I’ve personally met people who are remorseful and willing to change due to my father’s work as a jail officer. A person, may be in real life or in a story, is not some 1 dimensional character who doesn’t have the ability to change for either good or bad.

I've been saying that the mother does not deserve the daughter, regardless if she's changed or not, because lets not forget she did abuse and neglect her daughter. Again not saying this woman is incapable of change and incapable of becoming a better person. I just don't believe that these victims of abuse should stick around to see that change. As a reader we have the privilege to see every aspect of the story and in this case their circumstances as well. You said Lyrica shouldn’t be with her mother. But where do you think she will be if her mother didn’t take her to the palace? Begging in the streets as her mother becomes a queen? The story wouldn’t even start if that happens. The abuse was already done, she can’t turn back in time to undo her past mistakes but she was given a 2nd chance to atone for it and give Lyrica the love and life she deserves even if one day she grows old enough to understand what she experienced and not forgive her mom for it. At the end of the day this just a story meant to evoke feelings and understanding. If you think she doesn’t deserve it then that’s valid but others’ opinion about her is just as valid as well. But you don’t get to call them “abuse defenders” just because they don’t agree with your point.

Both mother and daughter have not healed from their own traumas and abuse. Should they be together? No. But in this case they only have each other. So the people who experienced literal abuse but still understood Lydia’s characterization don’t have common sense?

well its not that you don't have common sense but i think its wrong for a victim to stay with their abuser regardless of the abuser's personal growth

People aren't mad others don't like the mom. It's fine to not like her, but if you're still here 96 chapters later repeating the same criticisms of her and disregarding any new information given since the start of the story, then it does get tiring.

It also begs the question- if reading this makes some of you so angry, why continue to willingly make yourselves angry? Because you like the other characters you might say- okay, but then why complain about the same thing you've complained about 50 times before? Do you think it will change if you add a 51st?

At one point you have to accept the story is leaning towards redeeming the mother and rebuilding her relationship with her daughter and if none of the context you've been given thus far makes that something you can enjoy or even accept then simply move on to a different manhwa you might like better.

And if other people think differently than you and try to politely and rationally explain to you why that is, then perhaps do them the courtesy of at least not insulting them because you ultimately disagree.

At this point, we all know that this story is messing with you cause you probably went through the same thing that Lyrica did or you know someone who did and you can't separate fiction from reality due to that. Read something else and save yourself the unnecessary headache and trauma

Will be my last reply. You keep saying that she shouldn’t be with her abuser and hating on the mother as if it will change anything in the story. Like the others have said, this is fiction. You keep viewing this like they’re real. It’s great you have good morals and common sense as you put it. I feel like everyone who’re reading this knows what’s right and wrong as well but most of us see this story objectively despite our own feelings for the mother. Anyways, it’s weird that the mother is getting most of the heat when Lyrica’s father is much to blame (even more tbh).

I'm not sure if you're just rage baiting or you're not reading the story at all.
No one here is defending abusers and her mother already payed great deal for what she's done. She deeply regretted it, even the story is telling you that abuse is bad and leads to misery.
Point here is, that she got another chance, it was up to her whenever she'll change or continue being neglectful and abusive towards Lyrica. And she chose change. Since she regressed, she's been trying her best. Maybe this story might simply not be for you if you can't get past that.
I honestly think this manhwa is lovely, it shows that self-pity and self-destruction only blinds you to all the good and beautiful you have around yourself. It's a pit from which you can only get up by loving and appreciating what you already have and that is Lyrica in her case. She's also not doing all of this for herself, in this life, she's truly trying to be the mother she should always have been, caring and selfless.
It is kinda a fantasy logic for a person to change so drastically but we're literally reading the story with humanoids and magic so why not
