so they deliberatly did not show the face, since we all think ugly looks different. The short hair would also be considered ugly since long hair, no blemishes on the face, light skin, soft Hands, small/petite body frame etc. would be considered ugly in an aristocratic (kinde historical accurate) setting. (if it was more immeresed her wight would also be taken into ccount, since fuller body types were the trend). They showed most of it but the face, since beauty in a sense is suubjective. But she was depicted as darker skin color, short subby hair, broad shoulder, scars and Hands full of welts. So I understand that it miight seem that it is just the skin color, but they actually showed more than just that. Thhe focus was the face but they left that up to our imagination (kinda so ugly, that they can not show, which plays into her Trauma, bcs maybe it was not that bad, but it is her perspective)
