I just feel like his main motivation was his mother. But, he really moved to Seoul so quickly to live with a director? I thought he'd stay in Busan or something. Especially someone with so many traumatic regrets. I know the whole plot is to be an actor. I'm just shocked how quickly he moves on.
I also thought that, but it was his mother (after the August Man filming was over) that convinced him to continue his love for acting. Yes, he wanted to avoid it to prevent himself from being fixated on money and fame, but seeing that his mother is doing well (with all the other sellers at the market---something he didn't see in his past life) and a now he's surrounded by others that can support him, I think he decided to see how far he can go to make his mom proud.
Overall I just think that the trauma is still there but what he's done is build new relationships with others that can protect his mom in his stead!! :D (can't wait for the remarriage if his mom and side dish guy ever do it)
True. But, putting myself in his position I would've just made Busan my home base. If I regret so badly that I well offed myself. I would most likely be more obsessed with spending time with her. I do like the story. It's cute and a nice regression plot. ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~
Does the Seme ever get any nicer? So far he's using sex to condition the uke and practically forcing himself onto him. Does this guy ever realize he's a douche? Does the Uke ever stick up for himself? Or am I just wasting my time reading this?

can i just say that this is ABSOLUTELY worth your time if you want redemption. like genuinely he has one of my favourite redemption arcs of all semes ever and he treats uke with sm respect and genuinely loves him later on so PLEASEE continue if youre not too appauled by his early behaviour!
Agree give it a few chapters. Rare example of a redemption where ml not only acknowledges and repents for his treatment of mc, but also actively works towards supplanting negative experiences with positive ones by turning them on himself, emphasizing his self reflection.(examples in spoiler below)
And mc's a real ass bitch that stands on business. He shoves it all back into ml's face without blinking and puts ml thru a gauntlet
But after all the dust clears I think they balance eachother out, mc's an overthinker and ml is a simpleton so.

You can definitely see his personality changing for the better throughout the story! Their sex drive are both super high so yeah there will be a lot of sex scenes. Garam does have a strong spine and speaks his mind really well!
It's a enemies to lovers story so yeah season 1 is a pretty fucked up in that sense. but season 2 and 3 are great
Yes to all those questions, like the others said Jarhyuk has one of the best redemption arcs in bl that I've read.
