I just bawled real hard every fvcking chapter and now that I finished it, I don't know what to do. I'll be very lethargic again for a few months because of this. Hopefully I can move on from this manga soon.

I'm so skeptical about reading a manga with shoujo and drama together as tags so I'm reading the comments first. Looks like this will sit longer in my to read list, as I have no confidence in myself that I can take whatever's happening in the story atm. Maybe I'll read this once it's completed.

Idk about those who are uncomfortable with the age difference, but from all the huge age gap bls that I've read, this was by far the healthiest and most wholesome relationship of all. Irl, 18 and 39 actually doesn't look that much different in Asians especially with Japanese, so it wouldn't really matter to them. Also, Dai was never assaulted, molested, raped, or groomed, their feelings were mutual before they had sex, and the quiet times they spent under that tree without even talking to each other makes more sense than any other bl manga plots with >rape, assault, and grooming then fall in love< that I've read. Also, they both know that they're "adult" and "young" and they're trying their best to understand that difference, and it's so beautiful. Idrc but I believe age really doesn't matter for this story.
It's kinda funny and ironic if someone mentioned about BL romance plot, it either a sweet one or a rape one. One of the two even both combined and that's it.

The average 18 y/o and 39 y/o Japanese person definitely do not look the same bruh what (・_・) I guarantee you even despite that, age does matter to most Japanese people (technically they're not even considered "actual adults", for lack of better word, until they're 20 since that's when they're legally allowed to drink). That being said, an 18 y/o and a 39 y/o is legal in terms of consent so at least there's that.
