this volume is kind weird it mostly focuses on this random girl and her relationship with her father while the mains kinda look like roomates
i like it because you get to see more development in the characters & how it ties back into previous mentions on how the chief impacted kaburagi’s character. it’s like he can finally heal now! but i get you, i hope there’s more main couple focus soon or we get more onoe lore!! he’s so cutie pie
yeah i got you! so basically the chief offered kaburagi the job he has now, because chief said that maybe not all people have a rotten side to them & kaburagi was interested in that because he had cut off almost everyone from his life at that point due to his parents being horrible. so basically the kid needed hope, and decided to take up the job. however throughout the years kaburagi was like yea no everyone has a rotten side to them this job sucks balls, youre a liar chief wtf. so as a result kaburagi lost hope & just kept living life by sleeping around for information until his bae onoe showed up. with oboe's being hopeful & giving that push to kaburagi to believe once more that the chief isnt all bad, he got to see a non rotten side to the chief which made the chief not a liar anymore; people can have a non rotten side to him. this connects back to kaburagi's character strongly because you can see how he's becoming more trusting in people, with oboe's support so that's why i rlly liked these past chapters, even if it wasn't focused on the couple being lovey dicey, it focused on the development of the side characters that have a strong impact on the plot & how kaburagi has grown since meeting onoe. hope this explanation helps, sorry for the yap!

instead of breaking the generational curse he turned out to be worse than his father fucking psycho
