This was my exact sentiment as well! I thought I was the problem for thinking that but it bothered me so much. She really did just get tossed around the entire time and only made a “real big” decision when she decided to debut herself as camellia at her step mothers party. But even that wasn’t as big of a deal as it was made out to be since like- wth was she really putting at risk there??? The Bale family sucks anyways, theres no reason to be guilt over “ruining” their rep. If anything they deserve that. It was ridiculous how the story and characters glazed her up to be some prodigy but she lacked a brain and spine for most of the damn time
